HEALTH
The mission of the Health Services Area is to encourage the development of positive health behaviors, preventative safety measures and instill lifelong healthy habits in our children, family and staff.

DISABILITIES
All children are unique. Our program is inclusive of all children including those who may have a special need. Through a strong collaboration with our surrounding school districts, many children receive additional educational support services on site at our center.

FAMILY AND COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP
The Family and Community Partnership Service Area offers a variety of support services to our families. These services include internal and external referrals, crisis intervention, home visits, collaborations with the local school district, Spanish and English translation, community agency collaborations, parent involvement, classroom volunteering opportunities, and overall family support.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT
Parent Involvement is a “critical” part of the Head Start program. The Parent Involvement Content Area involves parents at all levels of the program. Parents have the opportunity to assist in the development of activities that address their interests and needs and that support the education and healthy development of their children.

THE TRANSITION FROM HEAD START TO SCHOOL: A TEAM APPROACH
The transition to kindergarten is an exciting time for children and their parents. Head Start staff work together to make sure that parents and children feel supported and have the information that they need to make a successful transition to school. Therefore, transition in Head Start is a team approach. Teachers, director, family service workers, and many other staff members come together to create a smooth transition for children and their families as children enter kindergarten.Click Here and learn more about The Head Start Program.
